Retroflex Rehab
Terms of Service & Liability Disclaimer
Effective date: 01/08/2026
These Terms of Service, together with the Liability Disclaimer within them, apply whenever you book, purchase, or take part in coaching, programmes, or related content from Retroflex Rehab ("Retroflex Rehab", "we", "our", or "us"), whether through our website, Instagram, or in person. They should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Retroflex Rehab is a rehabilitation and movement coaching service run by George Selwood as a sole trader, of Flat 9 Oakridge House, Gerrards Cross, SL9 8ES.
Retroflex Rehab holds professional indemnity insurance and is an active member of the Society of Sports Therapists.
Contact us at [email protected].
2. Agreement to these terms
By booking a consultation, purchasing coaching, or otherwise using our services, you confirm that you've read, understood, and agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
3. Our services
Retroflex Rehab provides remote and in-person rehabilitation and movement coaching for musculoskeletal pain and injury, including but not limited to back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, and other joint or muscle issues. Depending on what you sign up for, this may include an initial consultation or assessment, a personalised coaching handbook and exercise programme, a Google Sheets tracker for logging your sessions and progress, ongoing check-ins and support via Propane / Pulse, and general guidance on training, load, and recovery.
We do not provide physiotherapy, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment. Please read section 5 below carefully.
4. Eligibility
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you have a pre-existing medical condition, a recent injury or surgery, or any concern about whether exercise is safe for you, please get clearance from a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional before starting.
5. Medical disclaimer - not medical advice
Retroflex Rehab is a coaching and rehabilitation support service, not a medical provider. Our owner's membership with the Society of Sports Therapists relates to sports therapy, not medicine.
Nothing in our handbook, programmes, check-ins, or communications is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and none of it should be treated as a substitute for advice from a doctor, physiotherapist, osteopath, or other qualified healthcare professional.
You should get medical clearance before starting any new exercise programme, particularly if you have an existing injury, a recent surgery, a chronic condition, or are pregnant.
If you experience pain, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, or any other concerning symptoms during a session, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
6. Assumption of risk
Physical activity, including the exercises and programmes we provide, carries an inherent risk of injury. By taking part, you confirm that you're voluntarily choosing to take part, that you believe yourself to be medically fit to do so (or have been cleared by a doctor), and that you accept the risks involved, including the risk of injury, aggravation of an existing injury, or other harm.
Nothing in this section removes your right to make a claim where Retroflex Rehab has been negligent - see section 13.
7. Your responsibilities
Give us accurate and up-to-date information about your injury, health, and any conditions that might affect your training
Tell us promptly if your symptoms change, get worse, or if you experience a new injury
Follow the programme as instructed, and don't attempt exercises that don't feel appropriate for your body
Use suitable footwear, equipment, and a safe training environment
Seek medical attention if something doesn't feel right, rather than pushing through pain
8. No guarantee of results
Everyone responds differently to rehabilitation and training. While we'll use our professional skill and care to support your progress, we can't guarantee any specific outcome, timeframe, or result, including being pain-free or returning to a particular sport or activity level
9. Bookings and payments
Coaching is booked and paid for via Propane / Pulse and processed through Stripe.
Pricing: we offer coaching in whichever format suits you - a monthly subscription, a fixed-length package of sessions, or pay-as-you-go bookings. Current pricing for each option is shown at the time of booking on our website or booking platform.
Price changes: we may change our prices from time to time. Any change applies to new bookings and future subscription renewal periods only - it won't change the price of sessions or a package you've already paid for. If you're on an ongoing subscription, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price increase takes effect, and you're free to cancel your subscription without penalty if you don't want to continue at the new price.
Cancellation or rescheduling of sessions: we ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. If you give less than 24 hours' notice, or don't attend, the session will count as taken and won't be refunded, credited, or rescheduled - except where this is due to a genuine emergency, illness, or other exceptional circumstances, which we'll consider on a case-by-case basis.
10. Cancellations and refunds
Your statutory right to cancel (14 days): under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you buy coaching online or without meeting us in person, you can cancel within 14 days of your purchase without giving a reason. This right applies regardless of whether you've taken part in the programme. If you ask for coaching to start within this 14-day period, you keep this right, but if we've already begun delivering the service with your agreement, you'll be asked to pay for the proportion of the service provided up to the point you cancel. Once the service has been fully delivered with your agreement, this right ends.
Retroflex Rehab Programme Guarantee: separately from, and in addition to, your statutory right above, we offer a 14-day programme guarantee. To be eligible, within your first 14 days you need to have attended at least 2 video coaching calls, submitted at least 2 videos for review, and genuinely taken part in the programme. If you meet these conditions and aren't satisfied, contact us within the 14-day window for a full refund. This guarantee is an extra option on top of your statutory right above, not a replacement for it - if you haven't engaged with the programme, you can still cancel under your statutory right, just on the pro-rated terms described there.
Medical emergencies: outside of the above, if you're unable to continue coaching because of a medical emergency, we'll consider a refund for any part of your programme not yet delivered, on a case-by-case basis.
Processing refunds: approved refunds are issued within 14 days, back to the original payment method via Stripe.
11. Intellectual property
All content we provide, including the coaching handbook, tracker template, exercise demonstrations, videos, and any other materials, is the property of Retroflex Rehab (or licensed to us) and is provided for your personal use only. You may not copy, share, resell, or publish this content without our written permission.
12. Communication and conduct
We want coaching to be a positive experience for everyone. We may pause or end a coaching relationship, with reasonable notice, if communication becomes abusive or disrespectful, or if fees aren't paid as agreed.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that can't be limited or excluded under English law.
Subject to the above, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees you've paid us in the six months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your failure to follow our guidance, disclose relevant health information, or seek appropriate medical advice.
This doesn't affect your other statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for services to be provided with reasonable care and skill.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
15. Complaints
If you're unhappy with any part of our service, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll do our best to resolve it. We aim to respond to complaints within 5 working days.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post any changes here with an updated effective date. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
